Sandwich Medieval Centre

A living history visitor centre, with regular demonstrations of medieval crafts and skills including Blacksmithing, Baking, Boatbuilding, Calligraphy, Wheat Weaving and Egg Tempera Painting and onsite education area.  There is a onsite forge and wood fired oven. Other events during the year showcase more crafts, re-enactments and entertainments.  A focus on education and Sandwich's rich medieval history and building a life-size warship (cog). Bookable craft workshops as well as schools and group visits. Free entry.

The Centre is run by the Sandwich Medieval Trust, a charitable trust and relies on volunteers and funding.  Paid membership is available whilst donations are welcome.
