The Coastguard is Britain’s closest pub to France and has kept watch on the sea-front for more than 300 years – after a recent refurbishment you can take spectacular bay views in style while enjoying delicious food and drink.
The pub’s look is inspired by maritime heritage, with a red and white lighthouse-style fascia and boat-shaped planters and lifebuoys dotted around the beautiful front verandah and garden – where an outside bar sets the scene for summer. In winter, the pub offers a haven for those enjoying a bracing walk along Dover’s famed White Cliffs. Inside, the nautical theme continues, with a warm and welcome offered to all who come aboard. The Coastguard serves breakfast from 10am, followed by an A la carte menu for lunch & dinner. Food is served all day.
