The Pines Garden Gallery

The Pines Garden Gallery opened in February 2020 and showcases the work of established artists from St Margaret’s Bay, Dover, Deal and Canterbury, who work with themes focused on nature, biodiversity, marine environments, flora and fauna. David Souter Artist and Art Curator in Residence at The Bay Trust says “The connection between Art and Nature has existed since early humans scratched on cave walls. Apart from providing endless inspiration and stimulation for artists many of the mediums they use to create their work wood, charcoal, clay, paint, graphite, water etc. are all products of nature. Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature it will never fail you.’ With these thoughts in mind I brought together a number of established East Kent artists to exhibit with me at the gallery.

The exhibition enables the artists to involve within their practise the facility to create new works to stimulate the exhibition. On show will be a large number of framed signed limited edition prints as well as mounted only prints. All prints will be for sale and prices range from £45 to £200 with some larger pieces also on show.

Vicky Emptage from Whitstable - Studied at Middlesex and Goldsmiths College of Art. Absorbed by the sea, marine life, memories and what happens next.
