Vineyard and Breweries

White Cliffs Country boasts a number of microbreweries including Breakwater Brewery that is set alongside the River Dour and The Brewery of Angels & Demons that brews handcrafted beer by combining the latest brewing technology with traditional brewing methods. There are many other local brewers including Time and Tide Brewing who have a tongue-in-cheek approach to their branding with creative tin designs for their products which include a New England IPA called ‘Ham Sandwich’ and session IPAs including Spratwaffler.

Kent apples are some of the best in the country so it goes without saying that our local cider is a popular tipple. At Little Stour Orchard, cider is handmade using a 180-year-old press and a natural fermentation process. They also produce apple juice including a delicious pink one that reflects the colour of the Discovery apples used.

Kent has some of the biggest vineyards in England due to our temperate climate. At Barnsole Vineyard you can take a tour of the vines in beautiful surroundings and sample their award-winning still and sparkling wines before purchasing.
